Two dead, three injured in lorry-car collision at Tenom

TENOM: Two siblings were killed and three others injured, one of them in serious condition in a road accident involving a three-tonne lorry and a car at Jalan Lagud Seberang near here today.
In the incident at about 9am, William Eng Vui Yang, 27, and his sister Eng Vui Ying, 26, died at the scene.
The seriously injured victim was identified as Fo Ket Tang, 27 while his cousin, Wilson Eng Vui Quan suffered light injuries. The four were travelling in the same car.
The lorry driver, Chew Voi Tsong, 48, was also slightly injured.
Tenom Fire and Rescue station head Zainal Sinsian said the two dead victims were trapped in their seats.
He said eight firemen and a fire engine rushed to the location upon receiving an emergency call.
All injured victims were sent to Tenom Hospital. — Bernama
