Video of child being abused goes viral (VIDEO)

PETALING JAYA: A video clip showing a child being hit mercilessly by a woman is being circulated via social media.
In the two-minute and forty-nine second video, a woman was seen shouting at a young girl who appeared to be eating at a dining table.
The woman, who was shouting in Tamil language, accused the girl of spilling food from her plate before repeatedly hitting the girl with what appears to be a rattan cane while shouting "die" and "I will kill you".
The girl was seen screaming and crying in pain.
The woman also removed the girl's shirt and challenged the person recording the incident to hand the video over to the media.
"Since you are recording, well let me see are you going to give it to the newspapers," she said in the video recording.
The girl was also seen facing difficulty in breathing.
The woman then slapped the girl on her face. She also kicked the girl, causing the child to fall down before putting a shirt on the child again.
The incident is believed to have occurred in Puchong Perdana although it isn't known when it happened. It is also not known who took the video.
Several other videos of the moments before the woman was detained by police was also being circulated via social media.
In one such video, a big crowd including policemen with uniforms were seen assembling in front of a house.
When contacted, Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Mohammad Azlin Sadari, confirmed the incident.
"The victim has been rescued and the suspect caught," he said adding that the suspect will be remanded at the Petaling Jaya court tomorrow.
