Watta says looking to revive aborted plans

    PETALING JAYA: Watta Holdings Bhd, which was queried by Bursa Malaysia yesterday on share price spike, said its deputy executive chairman and CEO Datuk Lee Foo San was exploring certain corporate proposals previously that had been aborted.
    "Save as disclosed above, the company is not aware of any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of Watta that may account for the trading activity," it said in response to the unusual market activity (UMA) query.
    Watta's share price declined as much as 3.5 sen or 5.3% to an intraday low of 62 sen. At 3pm, it was trading at 62.5 sen, down 3 sen or 4.6% on 1.97 million shares done. The stock has doubled in the past one week.
    The company advised its shareholders to trade with caution and consult their stock brokers/ advisers given the increase in its share price over the last few days.
    "The company will make the necessary announcements on Bursa Securities if there is any material development in compliance with the listing requirements," it said.
