WCT up 3.17% on higher Q4 earnings

PETALING JAYA: WCT Holdings Bhd's share price rose five sen or 3.17% this morning, after its net profit jumped close to 17 times to RM59.27 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2017.
At 11.15am, the stock stood at RM1.63 with 945,400 shares changing hands. It has a market capitalisation of RM2.22 billion.
Yesterday, the group said the higher earnings was attributed to fair value gain on investment properties and higher contribution from its businesses.
WCT has recommended a final single tier cash dividend of 3.0 sen per ordinary share for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2017, subject to the shareholders' approval at the forthcoming AGM.
