Nissan is stepping up efforts to strengthen its global brand image by placing renewed emphasis on motorsport, expanding its NISMO performance range and tapping into the growing heritage and restoration scene. The initiatives, announced by Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. together with Nissan Motorsports & Customisation Co., Ltd. (NMC), form part of the wider Re:Nissan product strategy, where so-called “heartbeat models” are positioned as emotional flag-bearers that reflect the company’s performance-focused DNA.Motorsport remains central to this approach, with Nissan continuing to treat racing as both a proving ground and a development platform. Technologies and driving know-how honed in top-level competitions such as Super GT and Formula E will continue to flow directly into road cars under the long-standing philosophy of transferring lessons from the track back to everyday driving. Nissan also plans to maintain its presence in endurance racing series like Super Taikyu while exploring opportunities in new racing categories to broaden its technical and competitive experience.

Bjorn Hellgren claimed the Saudi Open presented by PIF with a dramatic one-shot victory over Jack Thompson after a tense final round at Dirab Golf & Country Club, closing with a five-under-par 67 to finish on 23-under and holing a six-foot birdie putt on the 18th for his maiden Asian Tour title.Thompson, tied with Hellgren at the start of the day, carded a 68 to finish second in the season-ending Asian Tour event, a result that secured his playing card for next year after he narrowly missed an eagle chance on the final hole.

Kazuki Higa became the first Japanese player to win the Asian Tour Order of Merit after securing the prestigious title at the Saudi Open presented by PIF. The latest mid-size plug-in hybrid sedan from Dongfeng Nissan, the N6, has officially debuted in China with a starting price tag of 99,900 yuan — roughly RM66,200. A promotional “benefit price” of 91,900 yuan (about RM61,000) has also been made available for a limited time.The company signalled that the N6 could reach markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and parts of Latin America in the future, marking it as the brand’s first “N-series” vehicle beyond its pure-electric offerings.Styled in line with the fully electric N7, the N6 presents a modern, sleek appearance. The rear profile adopts a coupe-like flow, with a continuous taillight strip and a clean bumper that hides the exhaust outlets, adding subtle sophistication to its silhouette.
