AKPS rampas 6 bungkusan ganja cuba diseludup di KKIA

KOTA KINABALU: Agensi Kawalan dan Perlindungan Sempadan Malaysia menemui enam bungkusan disyaki dadah jenis ganja yang cuba diseludup di Kargo Lapangan Terbang Antarabangsa Kota Kinabalu semalam.

Bungkusan berkenaan ditemui melalui imbasan mesin X-ray susulan pemeriksaan rutin oleh anggota AKPS.

Tindakan pemeriksaan fizikal mendapati ia mengandungi bahan mampat disyaki ganja dengan anggaran berat kasar keseluruhan bungkusan yang dirampas adalah 6.877 kilogram.

Kes berkenaan telah diserahkan kepada Bahagian Penguatkuasaan Jabatan Kastam Diraja Malaysia Sabah untuk siasatan lanjut.

Kerjasama strategik bersama agensi penguat kuasa lain seperti Polis Diraja Malaysia, JKDM dan Jabatan Imigresen Malaysia akan terus diperkukuh melalui pemantauan bersepadu di KKIA.

AKS menasihatkan orang ramai supaya tidak terlibat atau menjadi ejen penghantaran bagi mana-mana bungkusan yang mencurigakan.

Masyarakat juga diminta segera melaporkan kepada pihak berkuasa sekiranya menerima sebarang bungkusan daripada pihak tidak dikenali. – Bernama
