Pearly-Thinaah tewas di separuh akhir Terbuka China 2025

HARAPAN beregu wanita negara Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah untuk melangkah ke final Kejohanan Badminton Terbuka China 2025 musnah selepas tewas kepada pasangan China, Jia Yi Fan-Zhang Shu Xian, dalam aksi separuh akhir hari ini.

Perlawanan yang berlangsung di Gimnasium Pusat Sukan Olimpik Changzhou menyaksikan Pearly-Thinaah, pilihan ketiga kejohanan, kalah 14-21 dan 17-21 dalam tempoh 38 minit. Kekalahan ini menambah rekod buruk mereka terhadap pasangan China itu, dengan empat kekalahan dalam lima pertemuan.

“Kami cuba memberikan yang terbaik, tetapi lawan lebih konsisten hari ini,“ kata Thinaah selepas perlawanan.

Pasangan Malaysia ini hanya berjaya meraih satu gelaran musim ini, iaitu Terbuka Thailand 2025 pada Mei lalu. Sementara itu, Yi Fan-Shu Xian akan berdepan sama ada rakan senegara, Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning, atau gandingan Korea Selatan, Kim Hye Jeong-Kong Hee Yong, dalam final esok – BERNAMA
