PGA rampas 58,000 peranti vape bernilai RM8.8 juta di Pasir Mas

KOTA BHARU: Pasukan Gerakan Am (PGA) Batalion 7 berjaya merampas 57,780 unit peranti rokok elektronik (vape) pelbagai perisa dalam satu operasi di Kampung Gelang Mas, Pasir Mas. Barang rampasan bernilai RM8.8 juta itu disyaki tidak mematuhi standard Malaysia.

Komander Briged Tenggara PGA Datuk Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid berkata operasi itu dilakukan kira-kira jam 2 petang semasa pemeriksaan sebuah lori yang berhenti dalam keadaan mencurigakan.

“Pemeriksaan menemui kotak dibalut plastik kuning di bahagian belakang lori, mengandungi peranti vape tanpa sijil dan cap MS SIRIM seperti diwajibkan di bawah Perintah Perihal Dagangan 2022,“ katanya.

Dua lelaki tempatan berumur 22 dan 40 tahun yang berada dalam lori itu ditahan kerana dipercayai terlibat sebagai penghantar barang untuk pasaran tempatan.

“Anggaran nilai rampasan termasuk lori ialah RM8.8 juta. Kes telah diserahkan kepada KPDN Pasir Mas untuk siasatan lanjut di bawah Seksyen 4(2) Perintah Perihal Dagangan 2022,“ jelas Nik Ros Azhan.

Beliau menegaskan komitmen PGA dalam memperkukuh kawalan sempadan bagi membendung penyeludupan barangan haram yang mengancam keselamatan dan kesihatan awam. – Bernama
