A Malaysian man completely lost his appetite for baked cheese pastries after spotting a cockroach crawling across the tarts at a local shop.
In a 13-second TikTok video, the cockroach can be seen making its way through the cheese and chocolate tarts.
The TikTok user shared that he had initially wanted to buy the pastries, but the unexpected sight of the vermin immediately put him off.
“Was about to buy but didn’t happen because of the cockroach. All the more at a mall.”
He added that the shop was located in a shopping mall in KL.
Several netizens in the comments advised the user to report the incident directly to the staff.
“Please tag them or file a complaint. If not, how are we supposed to settle cases like this? Also, it’s not the staff’s fault — it’s management’s fault because the pest control wasn’t done.”
The TikTok user later responded that he plans to alert the shop about the incident.
“I will message them tomorrow to see what is their next course of action.”
