Hilux driver inconveniences motorists to allegedly buy pisang goreng in Bangsar South

“Happened in Bangsar South, this uncle suddenly turned on double signal in heavy traffic. Just to buy pisang goreng? Must be really delicious huh.”

A frustrated Malaysian motorist took to Threads after a Toyota Hilux driver was seen abruptly stopping and switching on hazard lights in the middle of traffic—allegedly just to buy pisang goreng.

The incident, which reportedly took place in Bangsar South, was captured on dashcam footage that has since gone viral online.

The driver could be seen switching on his hazard lights before alighting his car much to the puzzlement of the motorists behind him.

He then casually crosses the road to a nearby pisang goreng stall located at the corner of a road, briefly leaving his vehicle stationary, forcing other road users to manoeuvre around it.

“Happened in Bangsar South, this uncle suddenly turned on double signal in heavy traffic. Just to buy pisang goreng? Must be really delicious huh,” commented jmosho_ in his post.

Netizens were quick to express their frustration, with many condemning the driver’s actions as irresponsible and dangerous.

One commenter wrote, “Hazard lights don’t mean you can park anywhere you like,” while another vented angrily, “So foolish, parking however you want like that. Why didn’t the dashcam owner honk? I’m so stressed just watching this.”

Others called for firm action from the authorities, suggesting that enforcement was necessary to prevent similar incidents. “Just report it to DBKL.”

While another added, “Report the stall to DBKL and report the driver to JPJ. Problem solved. It may sound harsh, but this happens because stalls are allowed to operate at road corners, and this is the result.”
