JOHOR BAHRU: Police have denied claims that a teenage girl was abducted at a petrol station in Masai, Pasir Gudang here as alleged in a Facebook posting.
Seri Alam district police chief Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said investigations revealed that the 13-year-old girl had been on an outing with school friends and was back home safely at 4.30 pm on the same day.
“There was no such incident and the account holder (who posted the video) had also removed the posting,” he said in a statement tonight.
Mohd Sohaimi also advised the public not to resort to speculations that could lead to misunderstandings among the public.
A video on the alleged incident was uploaded by account holder ‘Quyn Bohay’ on the Komuniti Bandar Seri Alam Facebook account before it was removed later. -Bernama
