Bank Rakyat offers six-month moratorium for flood victims

Bank Rakyat provides up to six-month moratorium for flood-affected individuals and businesses, covering various financing products to ease financial burden.

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Rakyat is offering a six-month moratorium to individuals and businesses affected by ongoing floods nationwide.

Group chief executive officer Ahmad Shahril Mohd Shariff said this facility aims to ease customers’ financial burden during this challenging period.

The moratorium covers Personal Financing-i, Home Financing-i, Vehicle Financing-i, Hire Purchase Vehicle Financing-i, Education Financing-i, Micro Financing-i, Pawn Broking-i, and Credit Card-i.

“Affected customers can apply via email at bantuanbanjir@bankrakyat.com.my by providing their full name, identification number, address, mobile number, type of financing, and a copy of a utility bill to verify their address,” he said.

Credit Card-i customers can submit applications to kkredit@bankrakyat.com.my, while business customers may visit the nearest Business Banking Centre for assistance.
