Air Force Chief vows strict action against 20 officers in immorality probe

RMAF chief pledges uncompromising action against 20 officers directly involved in immoral activities, following a viral social media investigation.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysian Air Force will take strict action against 20 officers implicated in an immorality probe.

Air Force Chief Gen Datuk Seri Muhamad Norazlan Aris said the RMAF would ensure those responsible face judgement under Armed Forces law.

“Initial investigations have found that 20 RMAF officers were directly involved in these immoral activities,” he said in a statement.

He stressed that the force takes any violation of orders and regulations very seriously.

Muhamad Norazlan added that this unhealthy culture is not a practice within the RMAF.

The Air Force leadership deeply regrets the incident, according to the statement.

Appropriate action will also be taken against any personnel who failed to follow orders.

The Ministry of Defence had earlier ordered an internal investigation into viral social media allegations.

The allegations concerned unauthorised entry and immoral activities at a military camp.
