A foreign man was discovered dead on a shophouse staircase in Puchong Jaya, with police suspecting foul play in the ongoing investigation.
PUCHONG JAYA: A foreign national was found dead on the staircase of a shophouse here tonight in a suspected murder case.
Serdang district police chief ACP Muhamad Farid Ahmad confirmed the discovery when contacted by Bernama.
“We will issue an official statement regarding this incident soon,” he said.
The victim, who was working in Malaysia, had been renting a room in the shophouse where his body was discovered.
A member of the public found the body at approximately 8.30 pm before authorities arrived at the scene.
Members of the PDRM Dog Detection (K9) Unit were deployed with a sniffer dog to assist in the investigation.
The K9 unit combed the location thoroughly as part of the evidence gathering process.
Police are treating the case as a suspected murder while investigations continue. – Bernama
