Police are tracking a hooded man as the primary suspect in a Mantin murder, where a victim was found with 12 stab wounds in an apartment last month.
MANTIN: Police are hunting a male suspect to assist in the investigation of a murder case in Mantin.
The victim, a man believed to be in his 30s, was found dead with 12 stab wounds in an apartment unit on Dec 30.
Nilai district police chief Supt Johari Yahya said CCTV footage from Dec 28 captured images of the suspect wearing a face mask and a hoodie.
“Based on information received from a security guard, the suspect had earlier asked for the location of the victim’s residence and left the area three hours later,” he said.
Johari stated the individual is now the primary suspect, and police are actively tracking him down.
Two other men, also in their 30s, were arrested at the scene and have been remanded.
Police will apply to the court for an extension of their remand order.
