Police detain two more men linked to dangerous motorcycle stunts at Sungai Bakap R&R, bringing total arrests to eight under reckless driving laws
NIBONG TEBAL: Police have detained two more men in connection with dangerous motorcycle riding at the Sungai Bakap rest and service area (R&R).
The arrests bring the total number of individuals held over the viral incident to eight.
Seberang Perai Selatan district police chief Supt Jay January Siowou said the follow-up arrests were made after further investigations and intelligence gathering.
Both suspects have been remanded for two days for further investigation.
The case is being probed under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless and dangerous riding.
Last Friday, police confirmed the arrest of six men aged between 16 and 20.
Their arrests followed a 13-second viral video showing individuals performing wheelie stunts and revving loud exhausts at a petrol station within the R&R area.
