Works Minister Alexander Nanta Linggi will assume the duties of the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister from December 3.
KUALA LUMPUR: Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi has been assigned to carry out the functions of the Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives.
The appointment is effective from Tuesday, December 3.
Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said the decision was announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at last Friday’s Cabinet meeting.

“The government would like to express its appreciation and gratitude for all the contributions and services rendered by YB Datuk Ewon Benedick,” he said in a statement.
Ewon, who is the Member of Parliament for Penampang, announced his resignation as a Cabinet minister last month.
He is also the president of the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO).
Media reports quoted Ewon saying his resignation was to focus on political affairs in Sabah and to strengthen UPKO’s position in the state. – Bernama
