Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim chaired a district development meeting in Kulim, focusing on expediting projects and addressing local infrastructure needs.
KULIM: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim chaired the Kulim District Development Meeting at the Kulim Municipal Council today.
He arrived at the local authority building at 4.10 pm and was received by Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor and Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Also present were Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar and Kedah State Secretary Datuk Seri Norizan Khazali.
The meeting identified urgent district-level needs, including issues related to project implementation and delays.
It also discussed ensuring projects are carried out smoothly and expediting development processes.
The Prime Minister stressed that implementation should not merely follow old bureaucratic processes.
He called for processes to be expedited as long as they do not violate financial procedures and regulations.
Other matters raised included the upgrading of classrooms for Year One intake.
Road construction, flood mitigation, and a water treatment plant were also discussed.
