The Kinabatangan parliamentary and Lamag state by-elections in Sabah are underway today following the death of incumbent MP and assemblyman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin on Dec 5 last year, which left both seats vacant.
Kinabatangan
- Barisan Nasional (BN) is fielding Mohd Naim Kurniawan Moktar, Bung Moktar’s son, against a Parti Warisan candidate and an independent.
- A total of 48,526 voters will cast ballots.
Lamag
- BN’s Mohd Ismail Ayob going head-to-head with a Warisan contender.
- A total of 13,703 voters will cast ballots.
