Seven ministers and eight deputy ministers will take their oaths today following a Cabinet reshuffle by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
KUALA LUMPUR: Seven ministers and eight deputy ministers will be sworn in before His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim today.
The ceremony follows a Cabinet reshuffle announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Presentation of Appointment Letters and Swearing-in Ceremony is scheduled for this morning at Istana Negara.
Anwar announced the new appointments and portfolio changes yesterday.
He cited several vacancies and the need for adjustments within the MADANI Government Cabinet.
Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani is appointed as the new Minister of Investment, Trade, and Industry.
He was previously the Minister of Plantation and Commodities.
Hannah Yeoh, formerly the Minister of Youth and Sports, is now Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department for Federal Territories.
Six deputy ministers and one new face have been promoted to full ministerial positions.
Deputy Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir becomes Minister of Economy.
Sungai Petani MP Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari is appointed as the new Minister of Youth and Sports.
