KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran actor, singer and comedian Isma Aliff has died at the age of 62.
He passed away at his residence in Kampung Melayu Ampang at 8.30am on Wednesday.
His sister, Shamsidah, 60, confirmed his death to Bernama.
She said her brother’s health had deteriorated significantly over the past week and he had been struggling to eat.
“I managed to visit him before going to work this morning. He was very weak. When I returned home later, he had passed away,” she said.
Isma Aliff, whose real name was Muhammad Latiff Ismail, suffered a stroke in 2023 which left him partially paralysed.
Shamsidah said her brother had lived alone since their mother’s death in 2024 but remained largely self-reliant.
She expressed hope that fans would pray for him and remember his contributions.
His remains will be buried at the Ukay Perdana Muslim Cemetery after Asar prayers.
The late artist rose to fame through roles in films, dramas and telefilms like Enot and Enot 2: Rayalah Pulak!.
