A 13-year-old boy reported missing while swimming in Sungai Ulu Sat, Machang, has been found drowned 1.5 km from where he was last seen.
MACHANG: A 13-year-old boy reported missing while swimming in Sungai Ulu Sat here has been found drowned.
The body of Mohamad Syafi Irsyad Mohd Shaharudin was discovered by members of the public last night.
Machang Fire and Rescue Station chief Ahmad Alfarra Mohamad Zain said the victim was found approximately 1.5 kilometres from where he was last seen.
“The victim was found at 9.40 pm and was subsequently sent to Machang Hospital,” he said in a statement today.
The teenager had been feared drowned after going missing during a swim yesterday.
