Mohd Sakeri appointed new Perbadanan Putrajaya president

Datuk Mohd Sakeri Abdul Kadir becomes PPj president for a two-year term, replacing former president appointed as KL Mayor

PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Mohd Sakeri Abdul Kadir has been appointed as the new Perbadanan Putrajaya (PPj) president for a two-year term.

His appointment takes effect tomorrow and continues until November 14, 2027.

He replaces former PPj president Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud, who becomes the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur effective tomorrow.

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said the appointment considered Mohd Sakeri’s extensive civil service experience.

He highlighted Mohd Sakeri’s expertise in development and strategic policy.

“With an excellent track record in management and development, he is believed to be capable of leading PPj to a higher level of excellence,” Shamsul Azri said.

The appointment aims to strengthen efforts making Putrajaya a smart, green and livable city.

This aligns with the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI.

Mohd Sakeri, 56, previously served as Works Ministry deputy secretary-general (Policy and Development).

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematical Economics from Temple University, USA.

He also earned a Master of Economics from Universiti Putra Malaysia. – Bernama
