Selangor will host a festival of top-class golf in February, with the Selangor International Junior Golf Championship (SIJGC) followed by the PKNS Selangor Masters at Seri Selangor Golf Club.
The junior event runs from Feb 5–7, ahead of the US$175,000 PKNS Selangor Masters from Feb 11–14, which opens the Asian Development Tour (ADT) season for the second straight year.
The PKNS Selangor Masters will feature a 144-player field led by defending champion and 2025 ADT Order of Merit winner Tawit Polthai of Thailand. He will be joined by rising international talents and Asian Tour veterans, alongside leading Malaysian golfers including former champion Shahriffuddin Ariffin, Marcus Lim and Khavish Varadan, as the tournament continues its role as a pathway to Asian Tour cards.
Emphasis on local talent development remains a key focus, with invitational slots reserved for top qualifiers, junior champions and emerging players.
Since moving onto the ADT platform in 2022, the tournament has strengthened its reputation as a springboard for both professional and amateur golfers, supported by long-time title sponsor PKNS.
The fifth SIJGC will feature 120 junior golfers aged 12–19 from 11 countries competing over 54 holes. The World Amateur Golf Ranking event offers team and individual titles, with the boys’ individual winner earning a start in the PKNS Selangor Masters, underlining Selangor’s commitment to nurturing future golf stars through international exposure.
