Giant Bandar Kinrara welcomes prosperity and auspiciousness in Yee Sang ceremony

Giant Bandar Kinrara hosted a festive Yee Sang ceremony, uniting community leaders and partners to usher in prosperity and collaboration.

GIANT Bandar Kinrara, under the management of GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd, marked the Lunar New Year with a festive Yee Sang Tossing Ceremony, bringing together community leaders, government representatives, business partners, tenants, media and stakeholders in a celebration of unity, prosperity and collaboration.

More than a traditional Lunar New Year celebration, the event reflected Giant Bandar Kinrara’s continued commitment to fostering strong community ties while strengthening partnerships that support a vibrant and sustainable retail ecosystem.

The ceremony was graced by Bandar Kinrara assemblyman, Ng Sze Han, alongside Bandar Kinrara Community Service Centre Special Officer Rachel Lee Pooi Won, State Legislative Members Lee Jen Uyin and Ng Seow Chen, Mehanatan Embamurthi, State Secretary representative Afiq Aziz, senior management of GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd, as well as representatives from mainstream media, key opinion leaders (KOLs), business partners, tenants and the Giant Bandar Kinrara management team.

In her opening address, Rebecca Phan, Head of Leasing and Business Development of GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd, shared that the Yee Sang ceremony symbolised shared aspirations for growth and long-term success.

“Beyond celebrating tradition, today’s event reflects our belief in unity, collaboration and shared prosperity. At Giant Bandar Kinrara, we look forward to working closely with our stakeholders, partners and the local community to create meaningful engagements and long-term value,” she said.

The ceremony commenced with welcoming remarks, followed by a dynamic drum performance that set an auspicious tone for the celebration.

This was followed by an address from the management of GCH Retail Malaysia Sdn Bhd, a group photo session with honoured guests and stakeholders, and the highlight of the event – the Yee Sang tossing ceremony, symbolising prosperity, unity and shared success.

The celebration concluded with an energetic acrobatic lion dance performance featuring a horse mascot at the outdoor car park, adding to the festive atmosphere and marking a positive start to the year ahead at Giant Bandar Kinrara.

Giant Bandar Kinrara remains committed to serving the local community and will continue working hand in hand with partners, tenants and authorities to introduce collaborative initiatives, events and engagements that enrich the overall shopping experience.

The Yee Sang Tossing Ceremony marks a positive start to the year, setting the tone for stronger partnerships and continued growth in the months ahead.
