Indonesian girl apologises after forcing cat to smoke cigarette, claims it was a joke

WHILE cats and other animals are universally adored, unfortunately, there are instances where their well-being is not prioritized or respected.

A video of an 18-year-old girl in Indonesia forcefully attempting to make a cat smoke has gone viral, sparking outrage.

The disturbing clip shows her trying to place a lit cigarette in the cat’s mouth, and when unsuccessful, she blows the smoke onto the cat’s face. The frightened feline promptly jumps down and runs away.

The girl faced backlash and threats from concerned netizens who expressed their intention to visit her.

Eventually, the police paid her a visit to discuss the incident. In response, the girl posted an apology video, claiming that she was joking and had no intention to harm animals.

Despite her apology, the act has raised serious concerns about animal abuse and the need for awareness regarding the harmful effects of such actions on animals’ well-being.
