There are 11 beaches in total, with Salang Beach, Juara Beach, and ABC Beach being just a few of the idyllic spots to soak up the tropical vibes and work on your tan. Whether you’re seeking solitude or a lively beach atmosphere, Tioman has something for everyone.
Take, for example, Juara Beach, located on the east coast of Tioman Island, and worth adding to your list of places to visit on Tioman Island due to its views and sunrises. It is without a doubt one of the best beaches on the island. It’s also a great place to go if you’re looking for more challenging activities, as it has the best surf spots on the island.
ATV rides
Consider including a thrilling ATV ride on Tioman Island in your itinerary. This activity promises not only an adrenaline rush but also breathtaking views of the lush surrounding jungle, all with minimal exertion required on your end. Both Berjaya Tioman Resort and Paya Beach Resort offer ATV rides through the nearby jungle, so you can opt for whichever accommodation suits you best. It is recommended to embark on this adventure in the late afternoon from Berjaya Tioman Resort, as you can then make your way toward Bunut Beach and witness a stunning sunset, adding an extra touch of beauty to your experience.
Explore Asah Waterfall
If you have a fondness for nature and a desire to immerse yourself in freshwater surroundings, Asah Waterfall is unquestionably the ideal destination on Tioman Island. Renowned as one of the top attractions there, Asah Waterfall offers not only picturesque scenery but also an opportunity to take a refreshing dip in its non-saline waters, or simply admire the captivating view after embarking on a jungle trek to reach the site.
Situated in Tioman’s pristine rainforests, getting to Asah Waterfall by hiking is the best way to experience the island’s many delights. On your way to the waterfall, you can see its diverse wildlife and natural ecosystem. Upon arrival, you will be captivated by the falls. There are also several other ways to get there, including by boat ride, or even a taxi. It all depends on your level of comfort.
Dive into an underwater wonderland
Calling all underwater enthusiasts! Tioman Island is a diver’s paradise. With its clear waters and vibrant coral reefs, it offers some of the best diving experiences in the world. Whether you’re a seasoned diver or a beginner eager to explore the underwater world, Tioman has dive sites to suit all levels. From the famous Coral Island to the Renggis Island Marine Park, you’ll encounter an abundance of marine life, including colourful coral gardens, turtles, sharks, and mesmerizing tropical fish.
Tours for snorkeling and diving are available. This is also a good place to get your PADI Open Water Diver certification. There are also introductory dives available that do not require certification or a course.
