Selangor Fire and Rescue Department controls a five-acre forest fire near the Denai Alam toll plaza along DASH highway after afternoon blaze.
SHAH ALAM: A forest fire erupted near the Denai Alam toll plaza along the Damansara–Shah Alam Elevated Expressway this afternoon.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department estimated the blaze involved approximately five acres of land.
The department received an emergency call at 12.58 pm, according to operations division assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar.
Eight officers and personnel from the Bukit Jelutong Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene.
They arrived with a fire engine and a water tanker at 1.22 pm.
“The fire was brought under control at 3.40 pm,” Ahmad Mukhlis said in a statement.
Firefighting operations were still ongoing as of 5 pm.
