Trooper’s death symbolises two generations of sacrifice

The death of Trooper K Indiran, whose father was also a fallen serviceman, symbolises two generations of sacrifice and loyalty for the nation.

KUALA LUMPUR: Chief of Defence Force General Datuk Malek Razak Sulaiman has conveyed his condolences to the family of the late Malaysian Armed Forces trooper K Indiran.

Malek visited the family to provide moral support following the 22-year-old’s death after he was found unconscious during a course at the First Royal Armoured Regiment Batu 10 Camp in Kuantan.

Indiran was pronounced dead a day later while receiving treatment at Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital.

The Chief of Defence Force stated that Indiran was accorded a military funeral and was buried next to his father, Royal Malaysian Air Force pilot Major C Kayamboo.

Major Kayamboo was a pilot who died in a Beechcraft B200T crash back in 2016.

Malek said the sacrifices of two generations represent not just a family history but a symbol of the loyalty and bravery etched in the soul of every warrior.

In a Facebook post, he expressed being greatly touched by the strength shown by Indiran’s family during this difficult time.

He added that the Malaysian Armed Forces would always stand strong with the families of its personnel and officers.
