Budding racers from around the world will gather at the LYL International Circuit in Malaysia for the inaugural FIA Karting Arrive and Drive World Cup, taking place from Nov 14 – 16. A total of 107 drivers aged 12–19 will compete on Asia’s largest karting circuit, which features a 1.5km layout with challenging corners, chicanes, and a unique bridge-and-tunnel section. The event marks Malaysia’s debut as host of an FIA karting world competition, highlighting its growing role in global motorsport.

The new “Arrive and Drive” concept, introduced under the FIA Global Karting Plan, aims to make grassroots racing more accessible and affordable. All competitors will drive identical karts provided by OTK Group, eliminating technical and financial disparities and placing full emphasis on driving skill. The weekend will feature practice sessions on Friday, qualifying and heats on Saturday, and finals on Sunday, where top drivers in both junior and senior categories will race for the world title.
Among the 50 nationalities represented, three Malaysians — Mika Francois Slabbert, Ethan Seto, and Daniel Haris Jaeggi — will be hoping to shine on home soil. The grid also includes 15 female drivers, the largest number ever in an FIA Karting event, with two supported by the FIA Women in Motorsport Commission. With rising stars such as the USA’s Troy Ferguson, Indonesia’s Micah Vino Satrio, and the UAE’s Zain Elhommosany in the lineup, the stage is set for a thrilling showcase of karting’s next generation.
