Federal Territories Minister Dr Zaliha Mustafa orders JWP to address traditional village problems including foreign residents and land status in Kuala Lumpur.
KUALA LUMPUR: Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa has directed the Federal Territories Department (JWP) to immediately address issues affecting traditional villages in the capital.
She instructed JWP to pay special attention to problems including foreign residents, infrastructure maintenance, and land use status in these communities.
Other concerns requiring attention involve agricultural land occupied by unauthorized residential structures.
“I have instructed JWP to pay special attention to issues plaguing traditional villages in Kuala Lumpur,” Dr Zaliha stated in a Facebook post today.
The directive was issued during her chairing of the Meeting of Heads of Agencies under JWP at the Federal Territories Land and Mines Office.
This effort aligns with initiatives to strengthen land governance and ensure orderly development in Federal Territories based on data and community well-being.
The meeting also introduced the Mobil e-Tanah application, scheduled for official launch on November 11.
This app aims to streamline public access to land information and services in the Federal Territory more easily and transparently.
Agencies under JWP presented updates on initiatives to enhance energy efficiency and asset management using new energy technologies.
These efforts support green building certification and reduce government electricity costs in line with the CHASE City agenda.
