The 32nd edition of the Carlsberg Golf Classic (CGC), Malaysia’s longest-running amateur golf tournament, wrapped up in style at the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) West Course — the same venue that recently hosted the LPGA Championship.
With a prize pool exceeding RM2.7 million, the 2025 edition brought together over 3,600 golfers across 32 qualifying rounds nationwide, culminating in a national finale featuring 64 club champions.
Lam Kong Foo claimed the Gross Champion title with a score of 73, while 21-year-old Kaashvini Sasi Kumar from Kelab Rahman Putra Malaysia emerged as Nett Champion with a score of 74.
Kaashvini credited her parents and loved ones for their unwavering support, describing the experience as a reminder that golf is as much about camaraderie as it is about competition.

Carlsberg Malaysia Managing Director Stefano Clini said the tournament reflects the brand’s Semper Ardens spirit of continuous improvement and passion for excellence. This year also saw the debut of Auto Bavaria (BMW) as CGC’s premium partner, offering two BMW iX2 xDrive30 M Sport vehicles as Hole-in-One prizes worth RM299,600 each.
