All 10 PKR candidates for Sabah state election sign loyalty pledges backed by RM10 million bonds to prevent party betrayal

KOTA KINABALU: All 10 PKR candidates contesting in Sabah’s 17th state election have signed loyalty pledges backed by RM10 million bonds.

PKR secretary-general Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh confirmed the candidates from various backgrounds signed the commitment documents.

The bonds would be activated should any candidate betray the party after being elected.

“May the candidates have 100% commitment to the party, voters and constituencies they represent,” Fuziah said in a statement.

She emphasized the importance of fulfilling duties until successfully forming a new state government.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim introduced the 10 candidates during an event here.

Anwar, serving as Pakatan Harapan chairman and PKR president, announced PH’s election strategy.

He confirmed PH would contest 23 out of 73 state seats using the coalition’s logo.

The candidates include deputy ministers, civil servants and professionals representing diverse backgrounds.
