MACC opens 24-hour operations room for Sabah polls

MACC launches round-the-clock operations room for Sabah election complaints, providing multiple contact numbers and email for corruption reports.

PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has established a special operations room to handle corruption and abuse of power complaints during the Sabah state election.

MACC Sabah will operate the facility 24 hours daily from today until December 5.

The public can contact the Kota Kinabalu office at 017-8478740 or 088-488381, the Sandakan office at 089-668746 or 011-18669877, and the Tawau office at 089-772743.

Additional contact numbers include the Lahad Datu office at 089-868769 and the Keningau office at 087-336761 or 016-5771521.

Complaints can also be submitted via email at [email protected].

MACC reminded all candidates and political parties to avoid activities violating the MACC Act 2009 and Election Offences Act 1954.

The Election Commission has scheduled polling for November 29, with nomination day set for November 15 and early voting on November 25. – Bernama
