Kerugian jenayah siber mencecah RM2.7 bilion dalam 11 bulan

Polis catat 67,735 kes jenayah dalam talian dengan kerugian melebihi RM2.7 bilion dari Januari hingga November tahun ini

KUALA LUMPUR: Kerugian kewangan akibat jenayah dalam talian di Malaysia mencecah lebih RM2.7 bilion bagi tempoh 11 bulan pertama tahun ini.

Sebanyak 67,735 kes jenayah siber telah direkodkan oleh pihak polis dari Januari hingga November.

Jenayah telekomunikasi mencatatkan jumlah kes tertinggi iaitu 28,698 kes, diikuti jenayah e-dagang sebanyak 14,881 kes.

Penipuan pelaburan tidak wujud menyumbang 9,296 kes manakala pinjaman tidak wujud merekodkan 8,029 kes.

Jenayah e-kewangan mencatatkan 5,853 kes dan Love Scam pula sebanyak 978 kes.

Dari segi kerugian kewangan, penipuan pelaburan tidak wujud mendahului dengan lebih RM1.37 bilion.

Jenayah telekomunikasi menyebabkan kerugian RM715.7 juta dan jenayah e-kewangan RM458.1 juta.

Jenayah e-dagang mengakibatkan kerugian RM123.7 juta, pinjaman tidak wujud RM59.1 juta dan Love Scam RM43.7 juta.

Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Komersil Bukit Aman menasihati orang ramai bertindak segera jika menjadi mangsa.

Mangsa dinasihati menghubungi bank untuk menyekat transaksi mencurigakan dengan segera.

Mereka juga boleh membuat laporan kepada Pusat Respons Penipuan Kebangsaan di talian 997.

Laporan polis juga perlu dibuat untuk membolehkan siasatan dan tindakan lanjut diambil. – Bernama
