Several Kelantan rivers exceed alert levels after continuous rain

Continuous rain pushes multiple Kelantan rivers above alert and warning levels, with water levels rising in several districts including Kuala Krai and Pasir Mas.

KOTA BHARU: Several major rivers in Kelantan have exceeded their alert and warning levels following continuous rainfall in interior areas.

As of 11.30 am today, Sungai Lebir at Kampung Tualang in Kuala Krai recorded a water level of 33.61 metres, which is 3.61 metres above its alert level.

Sungai Galas at Chegar Lapan stood at 33.02 metres, exceeding the alert level by 1.02 metres and remaining stable.

In Gua Musang, Sungai Galas at Limau Kasturi was at 56.28 metres, 0.28 metres above the alert level, with light rain of four millimetres recorded in the area.

Sungai Golok at Rantau Panjang in Pasir Mas recorded a level of 7.7 metres, which is 0.7 metres above the alert level and showing a downward trend.

Sungai Kelantan at Jambatan Tendong stood at 4.78 metres, exceeding the alert level by 0.78 metres with an upward trend.

In Tanah Merah, Sungai Kelantan at Kusial recorded 13.34 metres while at Kusial Baru it was 13.56 metres, both above the alert level.

Sungai Sokor at Kampung Sokor was at 19.9 metres, which is 1.9 metres above the alert level and showing a rising trend.

Meanwhile, Sungai Kelantan at Kampung Temangan in Machang recorded a level of 15.46 metres, exceeding the alert level by 1.46 metres and remaining stable.
