Netropolitan: the new social network for the rich

FED up with the lack of photos of luxury cars and expensive lifestyles on your Facebook homepage? A new elite social network for the wealthy could be for you.
"Netropolitan" is an "online country club" charging an initial member fee of a cool US$9,000 for the first year and US$3,000 each year after.
The brainchild of composer James Touchi-Peters, it has been designed to let members "talk about fine wine, fancy cars and lucrative business decisions without judgement".
"Some busy millionaires feel isolated," says Touchi-Peters.
"Netropolitan.club is a place for them to interact with people within their social status, but outside their social circle."
The site, which launched this week, is advertisement-free and members must be over 21 years old to register.
Netropolitan is not the only socially elite network to generate a buzz on the web recently, with new dating app "The League" also launching this month.
The app screens members (who are mainly recruited through referrals) and lets users protect their profiles from being seen by certain contacts. – AFP Relaxnews
