Benalec yet to get green light for reclamation work

PETALING JAYA: Benalec Holdings Bhd said it is yet to receive the go-ahead from the Department of Environment (DOE) to start reclamation works for its Tanjung Piai Integrated Petroleum & Petrochemical Hub and Maritime Industrial Park project in Johor.
It clarified to Bursa Malaysia yesterday that it had submitted to the DOE, the Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (DEIA) report in late Oct 2014 and is now awaiting official approval of the report.
Once approved by the DOE, Benelac said it will make the appropriate announcement.
