Kenanga Investors declares RM63m income distribution

    PETALING JAYA: Kenanga Investors Bhd declared income distribution of RM63 million for five of its unit trust funds representing a distribution yield of 8.8% for each fund as at Feb 26, 2015.
    The gross distributions per unit were 9.48 sen for Kenanga Growth Fund, 10.5 sen for Kenanga Syariah Growth Fund, 4 sen for Kenanga Islamic Balanced Fund, 3.89 sen for Kenanga Premier Fund and 3.71 sen for Kenanga Balanced Fund.
    "Both our flagship funds, Kenanga Growth Fund and Kenanga Syariah Growth Fund have delivered five-year returns of 365.59% and 268.82% respectively. This is significant as it further testifies to the firm's high conviction of its investing philosophy, concerted research efforts and fundamental-driven bottom-up stock picking approach," said Kenanga Investors executive director and CEO Ismitz Matthew De Alwis.
    The Kenanga Growth Fund seeks to provide unit holders with long-term capital growth by actively investing in a diversified portfolio of Malaysian equity and equity-related securities of companies with sustainable business model that trading at a discount to its intrinsic value.
    The Kenanga Syariah Growth Fund is designed for investors looking for long-term investments of more than five years, with a moderate risk profile with tolerance for short-term periods of volatility and a preference for Syariah compliant investments.
    Kenanga Balanced Fund and Kenanga Islamic Balanced Fund are for investors who are willing to accept moderate risk in order to achieve a reasonable return on their capital over the medium to long-term period ranging from three to five years.
    Kenanga Premier Fund is a conventional equity growth fund catered to investors who are willing to accept moderate to high risk in order to achieve a reasonable return on the capital over the medium to long-term period ranging from three to five years.
