Summer beauty buys for sunkissed lips

WHEN it comes to summer lip care, you'll want to avoid wearing anything too cakey or drying, but still look fun, ideally while protecting yourself from the sun. Here are some of the newest products to add to your beauty routine this season.

Citrus relief
Jack Black has added a new lemon and shea butter flavour to its range of Intense Therapy Lip Balm SPF 25 products (US$7.50, RM29.29). The balm hydrates and soothes dry lips while offering broad protection from UV rays.
SPF shield
Choosing to protect your skin no longer means forgoing your favourite lip colour, thanks to the new Supergoop Shine On Lip Screen SPF 50 (US$22). The balm is worn over your lipstick or gloss, acting as a UV protective barrier between you and the sun.
Moisturise
Hempz's new Yuzu & Starfruit lip balm (US$8.99) is SPF 15 and contains hemp seed oil and shea butter to moisturise and hydrate, as well as a citrus fruit complex designed to revive lips after sun exposure.
Colour pop
Clinique's new Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub and Lip Balm (US$19.50) range doesn't offer SPF protection, but it does get bonus points for acting as a beauty treatment and lip colour all in one. The 2-in-1 pots feature a sugar-smoothing scrub on one side and a sheer, tinted moisturising balm in summery colours on the other.
Get glossy
Combine lip gloss and sunscreen with Hawaiian Tropic's Island Berry Sunkissed Moisturising Lip Gloss SPF25 (£6). The formula contains Aloe Vera, Cocoa Butter and Vitamins A, C & E for 12-hour moisturising and has a summery berry flavour. — AFP Relaxnews
