JIL Sander has channelled 'natural beauty' for her 2017 resort collection.
The German designer has unveiled a collection full of lightness, with fluid structures and weightless materials enhancing the natural silhouette and celebrating body shapes.
Classic fabrics such as cashmere, silk metal, leather, canvas and Japanese cottons have been used to create sensual volumes designed to highlight the body for an effortless and modern aesthetic. There is a strong emphasis on sheerness, focusing on the skin to underline a sense of freedom, with subtle contrasts in volumes and proportions adding a sense of drama.
The collection includes soft-shouldered bicolor cashmere coats and geometric shapes for oversized men's shirts converted into womenswear for a relaxed but polished look. There are vibrant-hued, metallic accessories, including sports luxe bags, pointed architectural shoes, and flats and ankle boots crafted from python skin, pony skin and calf leather.
A largely neutral palette dominates the color scheme, with whites, blacks and camels livened up by hits of yellow and light blue. New variations of silk and cottons were created specially for the collection in order to attain and preserve the exact hues required. — AFPRelaxnews
