PUTRAJAYA: The Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC) has instructed the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) to conduct further investigations into the sale of Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng's bungalow.
Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali said the AGC has reviewed the investigation papers on the sale of the Jalan Pinhorn bungalow to Lim.
Mohamed Apandi said the investigation papers were received by the AGC on May 26.
“After examining the total evidence, we have found there are several things that need to be investigated further to complete the investigation in this case.
“As such, we have returned the investigation papers to MACC to allow further investigation,” he added.
The controversy over Lim's bungalow erupted after Tasek Gelugor MP Datuk Shahbudin Yahaya said the house which was valued at RM6 million was sold below market value at RM2.8 million to Lim.
