Drug peddler detained with 4,000 methamphetamine pills in Kubang Golok

BACHOK: Police detained a drug peddler and seized 4,000 methamphetamine pills worth RM100,000 at Kampung Kubang Golok, here recently.
Bachok district action police chief ASP Abdul Jalil Abdul Kadir said the 28-year-old suspect was detained at 9.30pm last Tuesday while riding a motorcycle.
"The suspect had initially tried to flee the scene but was detained and the pills were found hidden in his motorcycle," he told reporters at the Bachok police headquarters, here today.
Abdul Jalil said the suspect would be remanded for a week and investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
"Police are carrying out investigations to determine the suspect's network," he said. — Bernama
