Malindo Air launches KL-Medan daily service

SEPANG: Malindo Air today launches daily services from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Kualanamu International Airport, Medan (KNO) in line with the airline's international network plan, bringing its route network to 39 destinations in 13 countries.
Malindo Air flight OD 322 will depart every day from KLIA at 8.15pm and arrive at Kualanamu International Airport at 8.15pm local time. There is a time difference of one hour between Kuala Lumpur and Medan. The flight will depart Medan at 7.10am and arrive at KLIA at 9.10am local time.
Promotional fares for the new route, Kuala Lumpur-Medan starts from RM9 for Economy Class and RM557 for Business Class one-way all inclusive. The fares include perks such as free baggage allowance, in-flight entertainment, and light refreshments.
CEO of Malindo Air, Chandran Rama Muthy said, "We strongly believe that this new service that we are providing will have much to offer to stimulate business and trade growth between Malaysia and Indonesia. Medan is a very popular holiday destination with the infamous Lake Toba, being an attraction to most Malaysian travellers. We are glad to offer passengers another travelling option and convenience by bridging the gap between Kuala Lumpur and Medan. Certainly, tourism traffic between both countries is expected to grow with the commencement of Malindo Air's new services."
Chandran added, "Our fares are always very attractive. In fact, in conjunction with Matta Fair, Malindo Air is also offering exciting promotional fares to other popular destinations such as RM49 one-way from KLIA to Kuching; to Bali and Colombo from RM99 one way all inclusive; to Hong Kong from RM149 one way all inclusive; Perth from RM199 one way all inclusive. Sales period will commence from 29 August and ends on 11 September 2016. Travel validity is from 3 September 2016 until 30 April 2017."
Chandran also hoped that Malindo Air will be able to contribute to the Government's aspiration of turning KLIA into a preferred transit and tourism hub in the region.
The narrow-body Boeing 737-800ER aircraft with a seat capacity of 162, with 12 Business Class and 150 Economy Class seats, will be used on this route.
