Customers at Starbucks can now indulge and enjoy a variety of innovative iced and hot tea beverages with Starbucks Teavana handcrafted beverages and full leaf tea sachets. Handcrafted and made with precision and care offering bold layers of flavours for a modern tea experience – these and more are now available throughout all Starbucks stores around Asia.
BETTER JUST GOT BETTER
According to Starbucks Malaysia and Brunei managing director Sydney Quays, Starbucks Teavana brings a whole new occasion specifically developed for its customers in Malaysia who increasingly want new and different tastes and experiences. “We see a tremendous new opportunity to leverage the company’s expertise in creating the best-in-class retail experiences, handcrafting customised beverages and sourcing the finest ingredients to create a premium tea experience,” Quays added. And just as they’ve done for coffee, tea is re-imagined at Starbucks shares Quays.
With tea today a US$125 (RM513) billion global industry in the world and second to water, Starbucks has leveraged on the company’s internal expertise, knowledge on retail experiences and handcrafted beverages, to come up with this new premium tea experience for its valued customers. The result –three new Starbucks Teavana Handcrafted Beverages comprising Matcha & Espresso Fusion, Black Tea with Ruby Grapefruit and Honey, and Iced Shaken Green Tea with Aloe and Prickly Pear.

While the first two come in hot and cold versions, the latter is served iced. Fiends of milk and cream will drool over Starbucks Matcha &Espresso Fusion concocted with fine Matcha powder, a blanket of milk and Starbucks signature Espresso Roast offering a beverage that is smooth, blending coffee and tea. More traditional tea drinkers will delight in the Black Tea with a tinge of sweet and sour from the honey and Star Ruby red grapefruit, served either hot or cold. And those into chilled fruity teas will simply love the iced green tea paired with diced aloe, complemented with syrup of prickly pear, a cool thirst quencher on a hot sunny day.
These tea beverages are made to a T using only premium, high-quality ingredients sourced from known growers, and specially tasted and tested for the finest cuppa fit for Starbucks Teavana.
