It said during the course of the visit, the president is scheduled to have discussions with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak on bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and the Philippines.
The statement said both leaders would also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The ministry said the visit would be an opportunity to strengthen existing cooperation between the two countries.
Malaysia's total trade with the Philippines in the first eight months of this year rose by 5.4% to RM13.15 billion, compared to RM12.48 billion between January and August last year. – Bernama
