PETALING JAYA: Destini Bhd, an integrated engineering solutions provider, has secured a contract extension to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services and the supply of safety and survival-related equipment for the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) for RM98.20 million.
The contract was obtained by Destini’s wholly-owned subsidiary Destini Prima Sdn Bhd from the Ministry of Defence.
As part of its scope of work, Destini will be providing MRO services on RMAF’s safety and survival-related equipment.
The three-year contract also enables Destini to supply safety and survival-related equipment for RMAF as well as provide on-site technical assistance at selected air force bases that may be required on a day-to-day basis.
Destini’s group managing director, Datuk Rozabil Abdul Rahman, said, “Our defence aviation division is one of Destini’s core business, which has been steadily providing recurring income for the group throughout the years. We are in a niche market with little competition and the opportunities are endless in this sector.”
He added that despite having confidence in the growth of its defence aviation business, “we will not rest on our laurels and keep on searching for more opportunities to grow organically”.
"There is still room for Destini to grow in the commercial aviation, marine, land transport as well as oil and gas sectors which still has ample of prospects,” Rozabil said.
