Zahid attends wedding of aide's daughter

JOHOR BARU: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today attended the solemnisation of the marriage of the daughter of Datuk Abdul Halim Suleiman, special officer at the Home Ministry, in Bandar Seri Alam, Masai, here.
Ahmad Zahid, who is also Home Minister, arrived at the residence of Abdul Halim, who is the former state-assemblyman for Puteri Wangsa, and his wife Datin Siti Yusnita Md Yusop at 9.20am.
Deputy Home Minister Datuk Nur Jazlan Mohamed and Johor Education, Information, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Committee chairman Datuk Md Jais Sarday also attended the wedding.
At the event, Ahmad Zahid had a surprise when he was presented with 'pulut kuning' (yellow glutinous rice) by the family of the bride in conjunction with his 64th birthday last Wednesday.
Ahmad Zahid posed for photographs with the wedded couple, Nur Nazifa Abdul Halim, 21, and Mohamad Faizal Mohamed, 22, and their families. — Bernama
