Polytechnic student found drowned

KUANTAN: The body of a polytechnic student in Shah Alam who was feared drowned after he disappeared while bathing with friends at Pantai Cherating Lama yesterday was found today.
Pahang Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Anuar Hassan said the body was found at about 7.15am about five kilometres from where the victim, in his 20s, was believed to have drowned.
The victim was bathing in the sea when friends realised him missing at about 2.15pm yesterday and lodged a report after they failed to find him.
Following which, a search and rescue operation was mounted by the police, the Civil Defence Force, the Fire and Rescue Department and villagers. — Bernama
