CITY University recently held the 8th instalment of its lectures under its “Distinguished Speakers Series (DSS)”.
Deputy Higher Education Minister Datuk Dr Mary Yap Kain Ching was invited to deliver a speech titled “Leadership in Practice: D.E.F.F.R.A.C” at the lecture.
The serial programme was launched in 2015. Its aim was to expose and engage City University students with experts and professionals of respective industries. “This is a good programme to expose and prepare the students towards their careers. Through these lectures, they will know what the industry requirements are and they can prepare themselves for it,” said Yap.
Past invited speakers of the series included the Australian high commissioner to Malaysia, the Indian high commissioner to Malaysia, secretary-general of World Youth Organisation International Acclaimed Indian Culture Dances, and an international acclaimed psychologist and professor from Aberystwyth University, United Kingdom.
City University was founded in 1984. It offers courses and programmes at various higher education levels including Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and Doctor in Business Administration (DBA).
